CERTIFICATE SA 8000
Corporate Social Responsibility is defined as "voluntary integration of social and environmental concerns in business operations and relationships with stakeholders."
Aware of its role and responsibilities in the economic and social community, in addition to Quality, Environment and Safety, MINERVA,wishes to excel with regard to its Corporate Social Responsibility.
MINERVA has obtained Ethical Certification, bringing itself formally into line with all the requirements of SA 8000, the most widely applied standard at international level in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility.
The decision to adopt the international norms contained in SA 8000 is based on the need to
- maintain the credibility and good reputation of the company
- build relationships of trust with consumers
- improve relations with local institutions
- improve the climate within the company
- impact on the social standards of the network of suppliers through the on-giong monitoring and continual up-grading of the company’s own SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
